Pop singer Ana Torroja is set to unveil her latest album in Mexico City later this month.

The new album, entitled "Conexion," is set to be a culmination of the 55-year-old's lengthy career.

"It's a stroll in sound through my professional life," Torroja said according to Fox News latino.

Torroja is set to unveil the album during a concert in Mexico City where she will perform alongside other artists who worked on the album with her. Those artists include Ximena Sarinana, Paty Cantu and Leonel Garcia among others.

The album was produced by Auero Baqueiro and will feature a number of songs from Torroja's days with the pop group Mecano. It will also showcase four never-before heard songs.

According to the report, the singer recorded alongside major star Miguel Bose, who is currently nominated for a slew of Latin Grammy Awards.

Torroja, born in 1959 in Madrid, got her career started when she formed the band Mecano in 1981 alongside Jose Maria Cano and his brother Nacho. The three recorded seven albums together and were a huge hit in both Europe and Latin America. That success ended in 1993 when the band split.

Torroja eventually resumed her career and in 1997 recorded her first solo album "Puntos cardinales." That was followed by seven other albums in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2010. Her 2000 album "Girados en concierto," was a collaboration with Bose.

Torroja made seven studios albums with Mecano and one live album. The first album "Mecano" was released in 1982 and was followed by "Donde esta el pais de las hadas" a year later. "Ya viene el sol" followed in 1984 while "Entre el cielo y el suelo" came in 1986. "Descanso Dominical" came in 1988 and the ensuing album "Aidalai" came in 1991.

The live album was released in 1985 and was entitled "Mecano: En Concierto."
