They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In terms of getting a job, however, a picture can result in a thousand reasons why you will not be hired, especially if that picture is of your private parts.

On Friday, Texas Workforce Solutions found themselves with a hard application to sort through. The stage agency specializes in helping connect employers with potential candidates seeking a job. An employee at the company's office in Alpha Road in Texas received the lewd e-mail which included a resumé, cover letter and picture of a penis.

It has yet to be determined whether or not the penis depicted in the picture was of the unemployed man himself, or if he lied on his application like some tend to do. Regardless, the Texas Workforce Solutions employee, who The Dallas Observer reports is a 25-year-old female, contacted the police.

According to the newspaper, police will be able to identify the culprit through his e-mail address. He will be charged with "obscene display or distribution," which is a class C misdemeanor.

"I think I know why he can't find a job," Demarquis Black, a spokesman for the Dallas police, said in an interview with The Dallas Observer.

Despite the absurdity and inexcusable fact that the man sent a "dick pic" to a professional organization, some are trying to cut the culprit some slack.

"...it's worth considering the possibility that the email was an accident, misdirected from the intended recipient to the TWS worker," The Dallas Observer suggests. "Anyone who's ever hit 'reply all' or experienced an autocomplete fail can sympathize with that."

Others think there may have been method behind the madness.

"Maybe the photo is [accurate]," a commenter named TheRuddSki said. "Maybe the guy is a dick."

The applicant isn't the first send a stupid picture with a job application. In February, someone accidentally attached a photo of Nicolas Cage with her resume.
