Wednesday’s chance to win big money playing Powerball is here.

The grand prize is currently at $110 million, with a cash value of $67.4 million.

Last Saturday’s winning numbers were 2, 6, 47, 66, 67 and 2. There were regular 507,948 winners, and $4,769,333 in non-jackpot money was won.

There are actually nine ways to play Powerball. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 293 million. The odds of simply doubling your money on a $2 ticket are 1 in 38.

A local CBS affiliate reports that a 23-year-old Powerball player in Los Angeles has just won $866,060.

Jorge Solis-Cortes was being a good son a few weeks ago by helping his father run some errands in South Los Angeles. After driving his dad to a meat market, his father purchased two Powerball tickets and gave the lucky one to his helpful boy.

Graciela Medel, the owner of Nabor’s Meat Market, says that Jorge’s father buys one ticket there every Sunday. This time, however, he bought two and gave that second ticket, which matched five of the six Powerball numbers, to his boy.

The store owner says that Jorge's father has come back to the store a few times since the drawing and appears to be humble about his son's win.

“We were more excited than he was,” she says.

The young man who has come into a sudden fortune is humble as well. Soli-Cortes says he will continue to work his job as a parking attendant and plans on using his new fortune to go back to school and to help his family out.

As strange as it might sound that Soli-Cortes would like to stick to his job after his big win, it is not that uncommon.

According to Today, around 44 percent of the people surveyed in 2013 Gallup poll say they would keep their jobs if they won the lottery. Only 2 percent were not sure what they would do.
