Apple released iOS 9.2 to the public this week, but there still is no jailbreak solution for iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2.

Now that the full version of iOS 9.2 is available, Pangu may have a jailbreak tool ready for release soon, Gotta Be Mobile reports.

Pangu has been rumored to be working on a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2. The team was waiting for the full version of 9.2 to be released in order to test the new tool fully before launch.

iOS 9.2 was released to the public on Tuesday. Pangu will have to test the newest update to see that the vulnerabilities and exploits in their jailbreak tool have not already been patched.

It is important for users not to upgrade to the iOS 9.2 operating system until a full version of the Pangu jailbreak is released. Once users upgrade to iOS 9.2, they cannot downgrade back to iOS 9, the latest operating system that has a full and reliable jailbreak tool.

The Pangu and TaiG jailbreak teams are usually pretty quiet when it comes to sharing information on their progress. But a tweet from EverythingsApplePro is promising for the jailbreak community.

Before iOS 9 was released, it was rumored that it would be nearly impossible to jailbreak any of the iOS 9 operating systems, but a successful jailbreak for iOS 9 was still created.

iOS 9.2 could be the final operating system in the iOS 9 series before iOS 10 comes out. Hopefully, Pangu or TaiG creates a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 before iOS 10, which is likely a long way off.

iOS 9.1 was released on Nov. 4, and the small update to iOS 9.2 came Tuesday. The next iOS release will probably take longer than just a month.
