The Goya awards announced the nominations for their annual awards. The awards are Spain's Oscars and represents the best of Spanish and Latin American film.

This year the five nominees for Best Film are "A Cambio de Nada," "La Novia," "Nadie quiere Noche," "Truman" and "Un Dia Perfecto."

Among the nominees for Best Actor are Riccardo Darin for "Truman," Asier Etxeandia for "La Novia," Pedro Casablanc for "B(B)" and Luis Tosar for "El Desconocido."

Javier Camara was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Truman" alongside Felipe Garcia Velez for "A Cambio de Nada," Tim Robbins for "Un dia Perfecto" and Manono Solo for "B(B)."

Penelope Cruz led the best actress nominees for her work in "Ma Ma" alongside Inma Cuesta for "La Novia," Juliette Binoche for "Nadie quiere la Noche" and Natalia de Molina for "Techo y Comida."

Other nominees included Pablo Alboran for "Palmeras en la nieve" in the Best Song category as well as Albert Iglesias for "Ma Ma" for Best Score.

The Best Foreign Film in the Spanish Language was made up some of the most acclaimed Latino films of the year. The front-runner in the category is without a doubt "El Clan" by Pablo Trapero. The film is Argentina's Oscar submission and won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival.

The film "Magallanes" by Salvador del Solar is nominated as well in the category. The film is representing Peru and stars Damian Alcazar and Christian Meier and was a selection for the Chicago International Film Festival.

Chile's "La Once" was also nominated. The film is by Maite Alberdi and is a documentary which won the Cartagena Film Festival. The final nominee was Cuba's "Vestido de Novia" by Marilyn Solaya which competed at the Platino awards.

The Best European Film nominees were "Macbeth" by Justin Kurzel, "Sur le chemin de l'ecole" by Pascal Plisson, "Mustang" by Deniz Gamze Ergüven and "Leviathan" by Andrei Zvyagintsev.

The Goya awards will be handed out on Feb. 6 in Madrid.
