Samsung usually launch its high-end flagship devices by pairs, most probably to give potential buyers the unwarranted but much welcomed diversity. Putting in mind that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ hit the markets in August alongside the Note 5, many had the impression that the much-awaited Galaxy S7 won't be flying solo in February 2016.

However, sources recently told TechGadgetsCentral that the release date of the rumored Galaxy Note 6 has been pushed back to IFA 2016, happening in August or September. Sources also claimed that the phablet will be powered by an unprecedented 16-core CPU clocked at 3.1GHz with 8GB of RAM as well as internal memory variants of 32, 64 and 128GB.

ValueWalk even spoke of an impressive 30 and eight-megapixel camera combo that go along with a six-inch screen that has Samsung's first ever 4K resolution display for smartphones. Not only that, it is supposedly equipped with fingerprint scanning technology, fast charging capability, blood and heart tracker, thermometer and compass.

A high-capacity 4,000mAh battery is expected to keep the pistons pumping for the Note 6, enough to last one day of casual usage. Power efficiency is even more remarkable if the phablet boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out the box, which it most likely will. Google's new mobile operating system includes additional energy optimization features.

Naturally, all the new perks and specs will be reflected by the Note 6's price. The next addition to Samsung's Galaxy Note series is said to cost between $750 and $800.

The aforementioned specs might seem whimsical and ambitious at this point, but it could very well turn out to be true as Samsung has yet to talk openly and officially about the device. That said, this latest rumor should be taken with a pinch of salt. It goes without saying though that the Note 6 will surely be more powerful than its predecessor.

By comparison, the Note 5 has 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution display and the octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC under the hood. It is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB built-in storage with no support for microSD expansion, per GSMArena.

The Note 5 sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing unit and a five-megapixel front shooter. A 3,000mAh battery keeps the lights on.
