Nick Cannon has reacted to ex-wife Mariah Carey's engagement to James Packer. The singer took to social media to show what he really thinks about the news.

Cannon posted a fan-edited screen grab taken from his television show "Real Husbands of Hollywood" on his Instagram. In the picture, the 35-year-old is seen lying in a hospital bed while his co-star Kevin Hart stands over him looking concerned. The fan also added the caption, "It's just a ring Nick."

The "America's Got Talent" host found the meme amusing. He captioned the photo "Ha! This made me laugh out loud for real!!! HILARIOUS!"

Cannon shared the photo following the news of his ex-wife's engagement to Packer. The actor likewise gave a shout-out to the newly engaged couple on his Instagram post and sent them his best wishes.

"#AllLove Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union... #GreatPeople #GreatCouple," Cannon added as a caption.

The fan who edited the screen grab, named manefressh, also took to his Instagram to express his appreciation over Cannon's post. "@nickcannon posted my meme. Glad you have a sense of humor...," he wrote to the same meme Cannon posted on his Instagram.

E! News exclusively revealed Packard and Carey's engagement. The Australian billionaire reportedly proposed to the singer Thursday last week at her hometown in New York City. Packard presented Canon's ex-wife with a 35-carat engagement ring.

The couple reportedly got engaged following a 10-month whirlwind romance. However, a source said that Packard and Carey were already "head over heels in love with one another" since they started dating in June last year, so the engagement didn't come as a surprise.

"It's crazy how perfect they are together, they both know it and couldn't be happier," the source told E! News.

Carey and Packard reportedly first met in 2014 at the premiere of "Hercules" and had been friends since. However, the source said that as soon as their friendship turned romantic, they didn't want to be apart from each other.

"They have a connection that is unparalleled; it's been a very beautiful experience for them both. If you spend even five minutes with them, you can't help but believe in true love," the source told E! News.

According to Mirror UK, Carey and Packard made their relationship public when they attended the premiere of "The Intern" in September together. It was their first red carpet appearance as a couple.
