"WWE Monday Night Raw" is in a "new era" following the "Payback" pay per view, which saw AJ Styles main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Shane and Stephanie McMahon both tasked to lead "Raw" and Enzo Amore suffering an intense injury.

Enzo Amore Injury

At "Payback," Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady fought against The Vaudevillains to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship, but the match ended abruptly when Amore awkwardly hit the ropes when he was thrown off the ring. Amore was seen motionless and was immediately attended by the referee and medical staff. The match was called off as Amore was rushed to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, Amore is doing well, was released from the hospital and only suffered a concussion, which may sideline him for a few weeks as further medical tests will take place.

It's unknown how the tag team scene will continue, but Sunday's incident could be developed into the storyline to advance The Vaudevillains as a serious duo.

McMahons Still Run the Show

Also at "Payback," Mr. McMahon decided to let Shane and Stephanie McMahon to run the flagship Monday night show. The duo have already made a decision affecting the next pay per view, "Extreme Rules," as Roman Reigns and AJ Styles will once again compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an Extreme Rules match.

For Monday night's show, fans should expect Shane and Stephanie to continue one-upping each other.

Reigns Continues to Reign

Roman Reigns is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, defeating AJ Styles despite interferences from Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and The Usos. The feud between Styles and Reigns will continue, therefore, more interactions between Anderson and Gallows and The Usos in the storyline.

What Else to Watch?

WWE Women's Champion Charlotte defeated Natalya in an attempt to recreate the Montreal Screwjob, now dubbed the Chicago Screwjob. While Charlotte had Natalya in the Sharpshooter, the referee rang the bell as if Natalya tapped, but she didn't. A rematch is likely in the future, either at "Raw" or three weeks away at "Extreme Rules."

The Miz retained the Intercontinental Championship defeating Cesaro, but the match also saw Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn get involved, signaling a fatal four way at "Extreme Rules." Owens did defeat Zayn at "Payback."

"WWE Monday Night Raw" airs weekly at 8 p.m. EST on the USA Network.
