Justice League and Power Rangers fans can now die happy! Last Friday, DC Comics & Saban Brands announced that they will be partnering with each other and BOOM! Studios for a Justice League/Power Rangers comic miniseries. The series will have 6 comics, with the first one to be released on January 11, 2017.

Expectations are high, as Janet Hsu, CEO at Saban Brands, confirms, "With their talented roster of writers and artists, DC and BOOM! Studios bring to life the world's greatest superheroes, including the iconic Power Rangers. With DC, BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands partnering, we will bring fans a legendary crossover that will stand the test of time, just as these historical superheroes have done individually for decades."

As ComicBook reported, the team for Justice League will be represented by Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart, the Flash and Cyborg. While the Power Rangers will have the original 90's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Zack (Black Ranger), Jason (Red Ranger), Billy (Blue Ranger), Tommy (Green Ranger), Trini (Yellow Ranger) and Kimberly (Pink Ranger).

Speaking for DC, Senior Vice President of Editorial Strategy and Administration Hank Kanalz said, "DC and BOOM! Studios teaming up on this crossover is a dream come true for fans of Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Justice League. Stories like this are a great way to have that 'what if' itch scratched, combining favorite characters from different publishers in epic adventures."

The storyline starts in Angel Grove when the Power Rangers' Command Center is breached and the teleporters are damaged. The Power Rangers are going to try to rescue Zack, the Black Ranger, who is transported into an alternate (DC) universe.

The full press release, which can be found on DC Comics' site, revealed that the miniseries will be written by Tom Taylor (who also wrote Injustice: Gods Among Us), with the artwork to be done by Stephen Byrne (Justice League of America Rebirth: The Ray). The standard covers will be drawn by Karl Kerschl (Gotham Academy: Second Semester). Each issue will also have a variant cover that will pair each member of the Justice League with a different Power Ranger.

BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon, probably expressed everyone's excitement when he said, "Everyone at BOOM! is thrilled to be part of an event of this magnitude. We have iconic characters meeting for the first time that are beloved the world over! Our imaginations have been racing since the moment this kicked off with our friends at DC and Saban Brands. Get ready...this is one event that's not to be missed."

Now that a Justice League and Power Rangers crossover has been announced, will comics fans ever get to see a DC Comics/ Marvel Comics crossover? Or is that too much to hope for?
