Some very aggressive defense towards the end by Draymond Green and Kevin Durant ensured a victory Tuesday night for the Golden State Warriors against the New Orleans Pelicans 113-109.

The fast paced encounter saw its customary incidents along with some excellent aggressive play by the Warriors with an equally brilliant defense towards the end by the duo of Green and Durant to ensure the victory score line as reported by CNS News.

The star of the day was Green with his reputation as a gutsy forward intact with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Green's four steals included one against Pelicans leading scorer Anthony Davies with just 2 seconds left in the game. In this game Green reached his 15th-career triple-double milestone.

At the end of the game Green confessed to his liking for defense play especially when it is needed to win a game. In this game Green's liking for defense play was in attendance when he got a stop with the score reading 111-109 in favor of the Warriors.

No less an important star was Durant scoring 27 points. But Durant himself seemed to think that the block he made against the driving shot of Davies with just 34 seconds to go for the final whistle was his defining moment. Apparently he relished his moment when he executed the block, which was a pleasant departure from his shot making abilities.

For the record, as per this ESPN report S Curry with 30 points and K Thompson with 17 points were the other main scorers for the Warriors besides Durant and Green. For the Pelicans, A Davies with 28 points, L Galloway with 20 points and T Frazier with 13 points were the top three scorers.
