Rumors are starting to churn about an upcoming Apple iPad launch saying that it will happen on April 4, 2017. This iPad event is said to be the date when three new iPad models will be launched: a refreshed model, a revamped iPad Pro and a new iPad model with edgeless display. Rumors also reveal that the event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park.

The rumored Apple iPad launch event proves that Tim Cook and the tech company have remained committed to the value of the tablet, BGR reported. Sales for the iPad have been very slow the past years but this April event says otherwise. Reports say that Apple plans to launch a 9.7-inch iPad, a revamped 12.9-inch iPad Pro and a new 10.5-inch iPad. The new model is rumored to have an edgeless display.

Apple has not commented on the April 4 event rumor but according to sources, the company may announce this in a special media event anytime this March. An expert even speculated that the event may happen on April 4 after analyzing Apple's timeline patterns. Upon checking availability dates for the iPad Pro, the expert said that April 4 was listed as the initial date of availability when it comes to device color, connectivity and storage. It was also speculated that the event will likely be held at the Steve Jobs Theater with 1,000 seating capacity.

Meanwhile, there are shipping delays for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro which has been stretched to 2 to 3 weeks, AppleInsider reported. Along with shipping delays, store pick-up dates were also set for April 4. Apparently these dates also coincide with the latest iPad rumor. Therefore it could be possible that Apple will have a launch event later in March and then ship in April; still the tech company may hold an event in April 4 and launching the new products on the same day.

These new reports also reveal that it would be completely impossible to hold the new iPad models launch at Apple Park Steve Jobs Theater since this venue is still unavailable. The theater is scheduled to open late 2017. The April event may still be in a makeshift venue inside the park or it could be at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
