A new game 'Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove' is now introduced to the Nintendo Switch console from the Japanese developers that was released recently. The game is based on a classic 8-bit action and adventure that puts users up to numerous challenges. At the moment, it's only exclusive to the Switch console and might be released to other platforms at a later date.

The base game costs US$ 9.99 for the Nintendo Switch variant while the complete pack that includes Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. The latter is offered at no cost for those owners having the standard game on other platforms as per reports from GamesRadar. The priority of a video game is to make sure it runs even on a very low-end machine. Porting the game in such a way makes sure everyone can play it comfortably without spending much on hardware upgrades and other parts of a system. Bastion and Metal Gear V The Phantom would be some of the best examples for that.

On the other side, Shovel Knight probably might be a good example to highlight about the greatness of the Nintendo Switch console. The Switch seems to have a lot of features that is new at least for those who're playing it for the first time. The fun-to-play multiplayer mode, on the new Joycon controllers, is alright, compared to a more flexible product that Nintendo currently offers for the Switch.

Detailed reports from IGN point out that, the overall better Switch Pro controllers for the Nintendo Switch, which people feel as a better addition, over the Joycon controllers, would make it a perfect match for Shovel Knight for a more comfortable gameplay. This is likely due to the features that the controller can synchronize with, like personalization and the ease of migrating it to say, a friend's system for co-op gameplay.

Part of the update involves a new 'body swap' feature that lets users be more flexible with in-game gender change and pronunciation of the same. Alongside the updates for its Nintendo Switch edition with new features, there's a campaign with its own story. Treasure Trove update seems to be a good addition for Shovel Knight with a lot of features alongside the original content.
