Apple's iPhone 8 is sending buyers in frenzy the moment it was announced. The device hasn't even hit the market yet and it is donning headlines with new leaks and rumors.

According to BGR, it was wildly believed that iPhone 8 or iPhone X will sport dual curved display. The feature has been already incorporated in Samsung's S6 Edge and S7 Edge.

However, according to MacRumors, although iPhone 8 is likely to have an edgeless OLED display, but a new report suggests that it might not have a curved screen design. Analyst Wayne Lam has stated the device will sport the same flat screen display just like its predecessor, iPhone 7.

"We anticipate Apple will adopt a flat implementation of OLED design on their special iPhone model, which is analogous to the current 2.5D glass design," MacRumors quoted Lam. "The existing iPhone 7 has a 2.5D cover glass with a flat glass LCD display, so Apple could make a similar 2.5D OLED display using a glass substrate OLED display at lower cost and much higher production volumes."

Reportedly, Apple is yet to finalize a design for iPhone 8. Thus, it may be too early to jump into speculations that the device will feature a curved display.

Apart from the display, rumors are rife that the iPhone 8 will feature OLED display, wireless charging, better battery life, updated Siri, and an improved water and dust resistance ability. It is also expected that the device will sport facial recognition and new technology related to virtual and augmented reality.

A major downside is, however, the release date. Apple has been in a habit of releasing its device in September.Reportedly, the production process of iPhone 8 may not complete until September. Therefore, it is expected that iPhone will hit the stores sometime in late October or early November of this year.
