Anyone who has seen "Logan" found themselves in shock because of the ending. However, what if one finds out that the ending was actually foreshadowed four years ago and everybody totally missed it.

Beware spoilers ahead. According to Express, "Logan" director James Mangold has confirmed on Twitter that the ending was predicted way back in 'The Wolverine' that came out in 2013. When one fan referred this particular scene from the 2013 flick, Mangold commented with a "well done."

"Logan" is Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine movie after 17 years playing the character. Mangold directed both the movies.

In "The Wolverine", Logan finds himself in Japan following the event of "X-Men: The Last Stand". During the movie, Hugh Jackman's character meets another mutant named Yukio. She has the special ability to foresee people's deaths.

The scene takes place between Yukio and Wolverine. Yukio mentioned in the movie that being a soldier, Wolverine desires an honorable death.

Yukio then says, "Logan, I saw you die. It's not like I get a complete picture. More like looking through a keyhole. But I'm always right. All I can see is one part of a person's life: their death. And I saw yours. I see you on your back, there's blood everywhere. You're holding your own heart in your hand."

When one breaks down her prophecy the death description of Logan is exactly like it was shown in the latest R-rated movie. Logan was indeed on his back and covered in blood. He was holding his 'heart' in his hand assuming 'heart' here is not real but metaphorical, as in his daughter X-23.

As previously stated by Latin Post, it was director James Mangold idea to kill Logan as his story reached the conclusion. Actor Hugh Jackman was open to the idea as long as it's done in the right way.

Jackman wanted to do just one more Wolverine movie and then stop because he thought the character needed a proper ending. Also, "Logan's" perfect ending left no room for the actor to reprise Wolverine.
