The official "Destiny 2" teaser photo was posted on the game's Twitter account this week. After numerous speculations, Bungie's teaser revealed that the leaked posters were true.

There is no new information given aside from the logo for "Destiny 2." However, IGN reports that Activision's CEO Eric Hirshberg said that the sequel is planned to be released in the Fall this year. He adds that aside from the game itself, it will also contain cinematics.

In earlier reports for "Destiny 2," a leaked poster revealed that it is set to be released on September 8, 2017. It is not yet confirmed if Bungie or Activision will release the game by then but some reports say that the official poster teaser confirms it.

Apart from that, the leaks also mentioned that a beta for "Destiny 2" will first arrive on the PlayStation 4 first. The game is expected to be available for the PS4, Xbox One and rumor says that it might also have a PC version, according to Forbes.

For "Destiny" players who are hoping to continue their characters in "Destiny 2," there is bad news. The outlet adds that they may still play the same character, however, their items, progress and armor may not be carried over to the sequel.

According to fans of the franchise, the newest "Destiny 2" posted is poised with The Last City burning in the background. This means that the Traveler may once again save it from ruin. Plot and more information for the sequel is expected to be revealed during the E3 event this year.

Prior to the coming of "Destiny 2," Bungie and Activision will be releasing the final DLC, Age of Triumph for "Destiny" this week. Since the game's original launch, it has released four expansions in the last couple of years.
