In recent Xbox News, another new game is going to be included in the Xbox One backward compatibility list later today, and it's a big-name game: "Far Cry 3." In a break from the usual batches of games that are to hit the Xbox backward compatible list, "Far Cry 3" is the lone game that will be hitting the list today, however, it's definitely a big enough title to carry the entire day.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the game, "Far Cry 3" is an open-world first-person shooter that pits players into a fight for their lives on a large, dangerous island in the middle of nowhere. While traveling along or with a group of friends, players are going to be taken as captives and brutalized.

The only hope for survival in "Far Cry 3" is by unraveling the dark secrets of the island and its insane inhabitants. Isolated in the middle of nowhere, where nothing is what it seems, players must find a way to fight back and successfully escape the island full of insanity and madness.

According to Windows Central, "Far Cry 3" is actually the second entry in the hit FPS series to become Xbox One backward compatible, following in the footsteps of the lesser-known "Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon." Xbox One owners who already own the game should be able to start playing it right away on their Xbox One.

Otherwise, Xbox One players can still pick up "Far Cry 3" for an amount totaling $20 at the Xbox 360 Marketplace right now. According to Destructoid, along "Far Cry 3," other newly-added backward compatible titles would include Soltrio Solitaire and Army of Two, which was added on the 28th of March.

As per reports, aside from "Far Cry 3," more and more games will be added to the Xbox One Backward compatible list in the near future. Stay update for more Xbox News.
