Chinese Tech Giant Huawei has announced the official launch of their latest smartphone models in the Huawei P series, the P10 and P10 Plus. The most notable features of these two phones are the Leica cameras on the front and back, the Kirin 960 processor, and an industry-first hyper diamond-cut metal finish.

According to Net Guide, GM Consumer Business at Huawei New Zealand, Roson Luo, says that the phone is the answer to a fast-changing world. Luo says that Huawei's goal is to "deliver new products and experiences" that would ultimately improve and enhance life in this fast-paced world.

The all-new Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will form and create the most exceptional and unique imaging capabilities of Leica, as well as showcase the company's stand-out design and hardware innovations in order to bring users an impressively powerful device experience.

Specs-wise, the P10 has a 5.1-inch display, while the P10 Plus is 5.5 inches. Both run Android 7.0, are equipped with Huawei's very own EMUI interface, features larger batteries for extended usage time and offers 64GB internal memory and 4GB worth of RAM.

The high-tech front Leica camera features a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, a 12-megapixel RGB sensor, and enhanced fusion algorithms.

According to Geek Zone, the same features are also available with the front camera. The new phones are programmed to detect when a user is taking a selfie, and if the phone detects that the photo includes more people, the device will then switch to a wide-angle shot.

Varieties of colors that are available are Dazzling Blue and Dazzling Gold, Prestige Gold and Graphite black. Additionally, the hyper diamond-cut finish is scratch-proof and is fingerprint resistant.

Both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will go on sale first in New Zealand this coming Wednesday, April 12, 2017. In terms of price, the P10 will cost $999 and the P10 Plus will cost $1199.
