The Houston Rockets are expected to enter into trades this offseason in hopes of creating cap space for big-name free agents, and reports indicated that Jeremy Lin could be moved this summer.

The Rockets recently traded disgruntled center Omer Asik to the New Orleans Pelicans for a 2015 first-round pick, and according to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report, Lin will be the next one to be traded.

Beck reported that the Rockets already have a deal in place for the 25-year-old point guard, who averaged 12.5 points to go along with 4.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game last season.

Beck, who added that the move will be made to clear cap room for either Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James, did not reveal any details about the alleged trade, but Marcus Thompson of the San Jose Mercury News reported that the Golden State Warriors is a possible trade for partner for the Rockets.

Thompson reported that the Warriors have already signified their interest in re-acquiring Lin, who played 29 games in Golden States during the 2010-11 season.

"The Warriors, per a league source, have informed the Houston they would consider acquiring Lin from the Rockets via trade. Houston is reportedly shopping Lin in case they need to create cap space for Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James," Thompson wrote.

The Warriors still have a $9.8 million trade exception from previous trade involving Andris Biedrins and Richard Jefferson, which they can use to acquire Lin in a trade.

The four-year veteran is set to earn $14.9 million in the final year of his contract next season, but only $8.37 million will be counted in a team's salary cap, giving the Warriors the chance to acquire Lin even without giving up any player in return.

Previous reports also indicated that the Warriors were also interested in acquiring Chandler Parsons, who could be included in a deal involving Lin, especially if Golden State give up Klay Thompson in a possible trade for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love.

It is unknown at this point, though, how Golden State's interest in Lin will be affected by the impending arrival of Shaun Livingston, who reportedly agreed to a three-year, $16 million deal with the Warriors on Tuesday.
