Shania Twain is returning to the spotlight with a new album and a new concert series in Las Vegas.

Twain will be releasing her first album since 2002, when she released Up!

"I'm pretty much there with my songs," Twain said in an interview with The Rolling Stone. " I'm really just sitting on the fence in regards to a producer. So I'm listening to a lot of records, doing my homework there, and trying to determine who is the right match."

Country lovers wonder what Twain will bring to the table, especially since they have not heard new material from her since 2002. Many wonder how her style might have changed after over 10 years of maturing.

"There are probably less upbeat songs," Twain said."I would say it's more half and half compared to what I've done in the past, where I would've learned more towards mostly uptempo songs."

The singer spoke with the magazine from her home in Switzerland, where she has lived for many years.

"I'm different," Twain said. "I've evolved, and I want that to be reflected in the music. At the same time I don't want to abandon the root of what I am."

According to Twain, 48, she already has most of the tracks for the new album prepared. Her next steps are to decide what sound she will go for and to find a producer.

"I do want it to be perfect, and I want it to be something that I really enjoy and a product of my inspiration," Twain said. "It's been a long time."

Twain has had a long time to develop her music taste. Some musicians are reportedly standing out to her.

"This is last year, but I'm really stuck on Lana Del Rey," Twain said. "I've been listening to that one a lot more and kind of stuck on the sound of that record. I really love Raising Sand as well-Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. So that goes to show you how lost I am as far as production direction  because I'm listening to such a broad spectrum."

The country singer will also be performing in Las Vegas this year. She started performing at Caesars Palace in Dec. of 2012. Her next concert series will run from Oct. 15 until the middle of Dec.

Twain is the biggest-selling female country artist of all time.
