At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, creator Kurt Sutter revealed his future plans for FX's "Sons of Anarchy" after its final season.

While sitting down for an hour-long panel in famous Hall H on Sunday, July 27, Sutter announced the hit outlaw motorcycle club series' first novel, which is expected to be released in fall 2014 and now available for preorder. "This is our first full 'Sons of Anarchy' novel -- it's called 'Bratva,'" he said.

"I wanted to find something that lives in our mythology that you all know and loved and didn't necessarily impact the things that need to happen," he continued. "So the story takes place after season four, and it follows Jax, Opie and Chibs, who get into some really gnarly things with the Russians, and the Russian crew is called Bratva. It's the characters you know and love, in the world you know and love, and it's a completely different story."

In addition to the new book release, the showrunner confirmed that the prequel to the popular show is currently in talks. However, it is not likely to go into production for at least a couple of years, since he already has his next series "The Bastard Executioner" to start working on in early 2015.

"To me, the most interesting thing about our mythology is the origins," said Sutter. "Because we don't know any flashbacks on our show, the prequel will be about the origins with John Teller and Piney Winston and my sense right now, I don't know if it will be a full-on series. It might just be a mini-series. But our hope is we let the mythology rest for a couple of seasons and then we'll come back and do the prequel. We're having conversations about that."

Kurt Sutter also treated the audience with exclusive teaser footage of the series' highly anticipated Season 7 -- which was a brief, intense montage of all the characters two weeks after the death of Tara Knowles. "I would say that I know where I want our hero to be emotionally and thematically at the end of the season," he discussed creating the final season.

"I'm writing episode seven as we speak, and I'm in post on episode four, so I'm really allowed to see what these guys do with characters and relationships," he added. "It allows me to infuse their collaboration into the series. I get to this place where it ends up in the direction and close to where I want it to land, but I can never tell what it looks like and how we'll get there until it's done."

"Sons of Anarchy" Season 7 premieres Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
