As people continue to weigh their options about whether to dive into the new iPhone or to wait a bit longer, some people will surely make the jump based on one thing: the battery.

Among many other things, Apple has revamped the battery for the newest iPhones, the 5s and 5c. According to Business Insider, Apple says that the battery in both of the new phones is 10 percent larger than the battery in the most recent iPhone 5.

Despite the battery's size difference, the phone remains the same size as before. It is possible that Apple was able to pull this off because the new 67-bit A7 chip is even more powerful than the one in the newly defunct iPhone 5.

The batteries are about 1570 mAh (milliamps) in size as opposed to the iPhone 5's 1440 mAh.

iDownload Blog explains how this was made possible.

"Apple builds hardware, makes it own operating system and software, designs battery technology and semiconductors and works closely with its vast supply chain in Asia so that all the components are optimized for performance and power efficiency."

With the new battery, users will be able to enjoy 10 hours of talking time on 3G, 250 hours of standby time, eight hours of Internet use on 3G (or 10 hours of just wi-fi use), 10 hours of video playback and 40 hours of audio.

Among other improvements include a better camera with expanded pixel size and a new, larger sensor. These changes were expected considering Apple's commercial where the company claims, "Every day, more photos are taken with the iPhone than any other camera."
