Magic Mike 2 or "Magic Mike XXL" will finally make its appearance on July 1, 2015, as shared by Channing Tatum through his Instagram account, according to E! Online.

The first "Magic Mike" movie premiered two years ago and fans of the show had been waiting for its sequel forever. Now fans can mark their calendars with a definite release date.

Channing Tatum also released the news about the cast, saying that there will be a lot of new faces that will be included in Magic Mike 2. He named Elizabeth Banks, Amber Heard, Childish Gambino, Andie MacDowell, Michael Strahan and Jada Pinkett-Smith. He also mentioned that they are already filming the sequel.

Other stars, both returning and new faces, include Gabriel Iglesias, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer. There's also Stephen Boss, Jane McNeill, Rhoda Griffis, Crystal Hunt, George Dawe, Judi Blair, Brandon Michael Hale, Mike Gassaway and Brandon Richardson.

Jada Pinkett-Smith revealed earlier when she was a guest on the Queen Latifah Show that she would be in "Magic Mike XXL." She said that Warner Bros., Gregory Jacobs and Channing Tatum took a chance to turn a male character into a female one, although she won't be stripping in the sequel but reveals that her role is a very exciting one.

Former NFL star turned show host Michael Strahan's appearance in Magic Mike 2 was the result of a joke.

Tatum came to his show to promote the original movie and Strahan started to reenact a part from the movie. He stripped on the show in 2012 and since then Tatum had been after him, asking him if he would like to be in the sequel.

It had become a running joke between them but actually Tatum was serious and he asked Strahan to give him a definite answer. The former athlete agreed, although he did say that he does not have experience in dancing.
