After many rumors, it seems the updated version of iOS 8.1.1 will likely be released in the next several days and people are urging users to download the jailbreak version of 8.1 while they still can.

The Pangu team and Jay "Saurik" Freeman have finished their software for Apple iPad, iPod and iPhone and unleashed it to consumers last month. However, the electronic gadget giant will soon step forward with the upcoming iOS 8.1.1 update, rendering the jailbreaked Pandu version a bit outdated. Apple has been closing access points for jailbreakers in the software in the past, and the eighth version of iOS seems no different, according to iDigitalTimes.com.

The jailbreak community on Reddit, including an anonymous person claiming to be an Apple employee, said that the update could come any day between Nov. 12 and 21. It will reportedly include mainly bug fixes and greater stability for older devices like the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s.

While the Reddit posts are unconfirmed, iOS 8.1.1 will likely be released soon, as Apple recently stopped marking the future update in beta.

Apple first released iOS 8 in September, then shortly followed with iOS 8.0.1, 8.0.2 and then iOS 8.1 in October.

It surprised many people that immediately Pangu dropped the jailbreak version for iDevices right away. However, the initial debut was a Chinese version only available on Windows and did not include Cydia. Saurik made an update that included Cydia for those who wanted to manually install it.

Pangu has improved several aspects of their jailbreak tool since its release in October. The Chinese hacking group recently made available a Mac version and English version with Cydia included, dubbed version 1.1.0, within a week of the original Chinese-language version. The software supports iPhone generations 4s through 6 Plus as well as the iPod Touch 5 and iPad 2, 3, 4 and all of the Air and Mini iterations.
