The trailer to Summit's latest film "Insurgent" has been released and it showcases dazzling action sequences.

The sequel continues the story of Beatrice "Tris" Prior, who must confront her inner demons and continue her fight against a powerful alliance which threatens to tear her society apart. The sequel brings back many of the original film's cast including Shailene Woodley as Tris, Theo James as Four, Miles Teller as Peter, Kate Winslet as Jeanine and Ansel Elgort as Caleb.

It also brings new cast members including Naomi Watts as Evelyn and Octavia Spencer as Johanna.

The new trailer reveals a number plotlines. Jeanine is once again searching for Divergents and it looks like Tris is the solution to the experiment she is doing.

Like the previous film, there seems to be a lot of action and the divergents will fight against all the factions who are under the command of Jeanine. In particular, Eric, played by Jai Courtney, is the main henchman who is hunting Tris. Based on the trailer, Eric captures Tris and she is forced to fight against a double of herself. The battle takes place in a contraption that is similar to the location of the final battle of the last film.

The trailer also shows that the romance between Tris and Four is developing as there are a number of kissing scenes.

The trailer also shows that there is an uprising occurring that will be led by Watt's character, who seems similar to President Coin in "The Hunger Games" franchise. However, like in "The Hunger Games," the factionless are outnumbered and are training for the rebellion.

Caleb and Tris are reunited, but their relationship seems to still be under tension while Peter looks like he joined Jeanine and is against the divergents.

The distinction between factions seems less obvious, as well, since it looks like Jeanine has taken over the society.

The new trailer also shows that the film will have a lot more special effects than the first and interesting stunt work. Tris also has a new haircut and the first images of Evelyn and Johanna are seen.

The new film is a follow up to "Divergent," which is based on the Veronica Roth novels. The books have become some of the most popular in the young adult genre and Summit has already planned for two more "Divergent" sequels in the next two years.

Although "Divergent" was panned by most critics, it was big hit at the box office. The film opened with $54 million and went on to make $150 million domestically. It later went on to make $288 million worldwide.

"Insurgent" is set to open on March 20, 2015, alongside Pierre Morel's "The Gunman" starring Sean Penn, Javier Bardem and Idris Elba. The movie will also open alongside "Danny Collins" starring Al Pacino, Annette Benning and Jennifer Garner.

"Insurgent" was written by Brian Duffield and Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman, and was directed by Robert Schwentke, who is known for directing "The Time Traveler's Wife," "Red," "R.I.P.D" and "Flightplan."
