A day after the Lizard Squad hit Malaysia Airlines, the group allegedly took over some of Taylor Swift’s social media accounts. The group claimed responsibility for the hack and began urging Swift’s millions of followers to follow their friends. They also threatened to release some private correspondence and media pertaining to the singer.

The Verge reports that Swift’s Twitter and Instragram accounts were taken over by the Lizard Squad on Tuesday. First to fall was Twitter, through which the hacker group taunted Swift’s 51 million followers and asked them to follow some of the group’s members on the social media site. However, within 15 minutes the tweets were deleted, and the account seemed to be secure.

Instagram fell after. The Lizard Squad posted some images again calling on Swift’s millions of followers to follow their own members.

Swift became aware of the hacks and soon posted a reply on her Tumblr page titled "Well, now I’m awake."

“My Twitter got hacked but don’t worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment,” she wrote.

According to TMZ, the hackers threatened to release nude photos of Swift as well as private correspondence she had.

Swift, after taking control of her account, responded via Twitter.

Swift  also brushed off the attack with a new spin on the lyrics from her popular song “Shake It Off.”

However, the Lizard Squad made good on one threat and released private conversations she had with celebrities like Nick Jonas, PewDiePie and musician BØRNS, according to Gawker.

The hackers then taunted those angry for their recent hacking attacks and posted a photo of one of their members, perhaps the leader, daring them to dox him.
