After all the talk about Jeremy Lin losing his starting job, the Rockets star is back in the starting line up, but for how long is uncertain.

Lin now finds himself back in the lineup because of an injury to Patrick Beverley that will keep him sidelined for up to two weeks. He said he could play if he absolutely had to, but the team wants to make sure he is back to full speed before throwing him back on the court.

"I'm taking precautions to make sure I'm 100 percent all right," Beverley said Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle. "If this was the playoffs, I would play tonight for sure. I'm going to go crazy over here sitting like I'm a coach with a suit on, but I can root my team on and look at the game differently, maybe see some things that I don't see while I'm out there and try to add to my game when I get back."

In the meantime, Lin will look to take advantage of his new opportunity. Lin was a starter last year but his coach talked about possibly taking some pressure off him heading into this season, which could be part of the reason why he was no longer listed as a starter when the season started.

"I'll still be the same player," Lin said of his return to the starting lineup, according to the Chronicle. "Obviously, we need Pat, and we need Pat to play at a high level for us to be where we want to be. He has to get healthy. Other guys have minor injuries too. Everybody needs to get healthy."

Lin had 16 poiints in the team's opener against the Mavericks.
