The new trailer to "Insurgent" has hit the Internet before its TV premiere for the Super Bowl. Lionsgate is trying to create anticipation for the upcoming film after the first installment "Divergent's" successful box office.

Liosngate released the trailer exclusively on MTV news, which is a smart choice for the company since MTV appeals to younger audiences. The main target audience of "Divergent" is female girls, and that is MTV's target audience, as well.

The new trailer shows a sequence in which Tris, played by Shailene Woodley ("The Fault in our Stars"), attacks the villainous Jeanine (Kate Winslet) and starts to fall into what seems like a dream sequence. The sequence shows Tris falling, while cities start to break into small pieces until she lands on the ground. Based on the trailer, it looks like the film will be darker and will have a lot more special effects than the original installment.

Additionally, it shows Tris' new haircut, and it seems like she has a new suit that resembles a superhero.

"Insurgent" tells the story of Beatrice Prior, who must confront her inner demons and continue her fight against a powerful alliance which threatens to tear her society apart, with the help from others on her side.

The movie is one of the most anticipated films of the year and Summit and Lionsgate hope to recreate the same success of the original film. "Divergent" opened in March of 2014 and went on to make $150 million domestically. Based on early predictions, the new film is likely to open with $53 million and could potentially close with $139 million. That would be less than original. However, these estimates could change based on the marketing campaign that Lionsgate is planning.

Liosngate's choice to release a trailer during the Super Bowl is very smart given the fact the big game is one of the most watched sporting events in the U.S. Additionally, audiences are sometimes more interested in the commercials, which is a plus because "Insurgent's" trailer will likely get a lot of exposure.

The new film also stars Theo James ("Divergent"), Octavia Spencer ("The Help"), Ansel Elgort ("Men, Women, and Children"), Naomi Watts ("The Impossible"), Miles Teller ("Whiplash"), Jai Courtney ("A Good Day to Die Hard"), Ray Stevenson ("Thor"), and Maggie Q ("Live Free or Die Hard"). The movie was directed by Robert Schwentke ("The Time Traveler's Wife") and was written by Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind"). The film is based on Veronica Roth's novel of the same name.

Lionsgate has already planned two more films as the company will split the last book into two movies. The company is following in the footsteps of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and "Twilight: Eclipse." The last two "Allegiant" films are scheduled for March of 2016 and 2017.

"Insurgent" will be released on March 20 and is rated PG-13 for or intense violence and action throughout, some sensuality, thematic elements and brief language
