Nicki Minaj's road manger was stabbed to death and another crew member was critically injured in the same attack outside a Philadelphia nightclub early Wednesay morning.

TMZ.com reports 29-year-old De'Von Pickett died of stab wounds he sustained outside a Philly nightclub while in town to prepare for and promote an upcoming tour featuring Minaj's rumored new beau Meek Mill.

Team Nicki staffer Eric Parker survived the attack outside Che Bar & Grill in the West Oak Lane neighborhood that took place around 2 a.m. early Wednesday, but remains listed in critical condition.

A male suspect, described to be around 30, was last seen driving off in a gray Buick LeSabre. Witnesses later told police the dispute may have stemmed from the recent firing of an unnamed employee.

"We believe that both of the victims, as well as the perpetrator, were all inside of this bar, and that's when an argument started," said Chief Inspector Scott Small. Authorities later added that 27-year-old Parker is expected to survive his injuries.

In their subsequent investigation, police found that several nearby surveillance cameras may have captured at least part of the incident.Investigators later returned to the scene of Wednesday's crime to find personal items, a cellphone and blood on the sidewalk outside the bar.

Minaj and Meek have recently been hailed as hip hop's latest super couple, making it a point of being recently seen in New York City together with plans to soon do likewise in Charlotte, North Carolina. Minaj's "The PinkPrint Tour" is set to kick off next month in Sweden.
