The new episode of "Gotham" is shaping up to be yet another night of mystery and intrigue, as Detective James Gordon (Benjamin McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) continue to investigate the Ogre.

According to SpoilerTV.com, Milo Ventimiglia guest stars as mystery man Jason Lennon, who in Episode 20 is expected to begin "to make his move on someone close to Gordon." The website adds in the episode, entitled "Under the Knife," Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) join forces to expose a corrupt Wayne Enterprises employee and Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) feels the need to come to the defense of Kristin Kringle (Chelsea Spack) for undisclosed reasons.

The episode airs on April 20, and among the guest cast members are Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, David Zayas as Don Maroni, Carol Kane as Gertrud Kapelput and Laurence Mason as Det. Ben Mueller.

Still in its first season, "Gotham" also stars Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin and Erin Richards as Barbara Kean.

Based on characters created by DC Comics, "Gotham" premiered on Fox in September 2014. Originally slated to air 16 episodes, the show was extended to 22 episodes and, according to TVLine.com, has already been renewed for a second season.

Along with fellow Fox smash hit drama "Empire," the show ranks among the top five dramas of the new TV season among the always coveted 18- to 49-year-old demographic.

Despite all its success, Pinkett Smith has indicated she will not be returning to the cast beyond this season.

"I don't think so, no," she recently told Entertainment Weekly. "I signed for a year and the year is up. But there are some great things coming ahead on Gotham, believe you me. There's a lot of good stuff coming."
