Make no mistake, this action comedy has reached epic levels of comedic entertainment. That is why Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) is surrounded by serious characters who give him enough room to fall into the most hilarious situations on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

According to TV Guide, in the episode titled "Det. Dave Majors," Jake finally gets to work with someone he has long admired, top NYPD Detective Dave Majors (guest star Garret Dillahunt). Jake is excited and primed for the venture, but his excitement takes a drastic turn when the love of his life, his partner Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), gets thrown into the mix. When Majors reveals his intention to ask Amy out, he suddenly does a 180 on the situation and jealously leads him in a new direction on Episode 21 of Season 2.

Meanwhile back at the unit, Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) contemplates a job offer from a private security firm.

The temptation actually settles quite nicely with him. When Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) and Gina (Chelsea Peretti) find out, they seek an alternate course of action for him. They spend time, ultimately as a struggle, trying to talk him out of the lucrative new job offer, wanting him to option for staying instead.

This episode airs on Sunday, May 3 on Fox at 8:30 p.m.

Season two only has three episodes left, but die-hard fans of the series can rest comfortably knowing that it has been renewed for a third season on Fox. We can look forward to Jake finally making some progress with Amy in the last three episodes, which includes a kiss. Could his love for her finally be requited?

In an interview on Details, Melissa Fumero gave a little dish on the show and her character.

When asked if her and Samberg's Peralta character have kissed yet, Fumero said, "No, but there's maybe something that happens in the finale. I can't say much, but I can say they go undercover to catch a thief, and they lock lips at some point."

She went on to say, in regards to it being weird, "It was totally cool. We're both professionals. We've both done it before. There was a lot of giggling, but it was totally fun."
