Sarah Paulson is open to being a villain in the upcoming season of "American Horror Story."

During an interview with the Wrap, the actress gave away some information about her role in the upcoming episode. She said, "Here's the only thing I can give you ... I am not playing Janis Joplin. I would love that, that would be amazing, but no, I am not doing that."

Paulson claimed that she has yet to play a villain -- and it was something she was open to. She added, "I've never played any villain on the show, so perhaps there's going to be an element on bad, bad girl."

During the interview, Paulson said she is excited to be the same show as Lady Gaga. The actress noted that she hopes become good friends and at least get her phone number. She said, "I will not have succeeded in this season if I do not have a way of contacting her directly, like a cell phone number, by the end of the season," Paulson says. "It will be very embarrassing to me if we don't become really tight, close friends."
