A new unlikely source has added fuel to the rumor fire that a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in March. According to the latest source, the exact release date is March 12.

Today, Código Fonte released an interview with Nuveem, a Brazilian retailer. According to Thiago Diniz, Nuveem's director of digital distribution of games, the release date for Grand Theft Auto V PC has already been confirmed.

"I see no problem talking. I think until now been confirmed. Is scheduled for March on PC, if I'm not mistaken, for the 12th," Diniz said according to a translation performed by Techinews.

Although the translation may be a bit choppy, the message is clear: Nuveem believes that Grand Theft Auto V PC is scheduled for a Mar. 12 release.

The confidence of this executive is pretty convincing. Fansided, however, points out that the alleged release date is unusual because it falls on a Wednesday.

"Game releases are usually on Tuesdays or Fridays," the website said.

Recently, an Amazon customer support representative suggested a March release as well.

"Likewise, international Amazon staff told a number of customers that a PC version of GTA 5 will be released in March, 2014," reports Examiner.

One Amazon support employee, however, was already proven to be somewhat inaccurate.

"Welcome to Amazon Chat. My name is Fatima [...]. According to our information, GTA V PC will be announced on 12/24 and according to our source; it will be released in the USA on 03/12 and here on 03/14," the Amazon representative said in German.

Christmas Eve came and went and Rockstar Game made no announcement, but the rumored March release date remains consistent.

Some have speculated that a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will not be released until the game is made available for Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One. Rockstar Games, however, does not appear to have made any notable progress on creating games for these new systems.

"Unfortunately, we have not released any information about that..." Rockstar Support said late December via Twitter in response to a gamer questioning the release of Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 or Xbox One.
