Leighton Meester, the actress who portrayed Blair Waldorf in "Gossip Girl," has finally bid farewell to her renovated Encino home.

Meester, who also appeared in "Surface," "House, M.D." and "Entourage," has sold the property for a little over $2 million, Los Angeles Times reported.

Although the actress initially asked $2.35 million for the house, she was still able to gain considerable profit since she bought it four years ago for $1,457,500, added the news site, citing property records.

Meester's listing agent was Michael Morabito of Sotheby's International Realty, while Steven Kirshbaum of the Agency was the buyer's agent.

Home features

Based on the descriptions provided by the Times, the bungalow-style gated home provides the new owners some much needed privacy. Constructed in the 1940s, the property is secured from the outside by tall trees.

Meester's former residence was renovated for a harmonious and comfortable indoor-outdoor way of living. All the common rooms have access to a relaxing outdoor living room.

Albeit partially-hidden from onlookers outside, the elegant home features interesting architectural details. The California abode boasts dark wood flooring, French doors and an open-beam trellis.

The 2,847-square-foot home also has a charming living room, a formal dining room, and a modern kitchen with a breakfast station. It is equipped with high-tech systems like hidden wall speakers and video surveillance for better security.

Inside, the crowning jewel of the residence is the master suite that comes with a huge master closet and a fireplace to keep the owners warm.

But during summer, the new homeowners can spend more time outdoors to enjoy the saltwater swimming pool. There is also a separate pool house that comes with a wet bar.

Photos of the 4-bedroom home can be seen on Variety, when it featured the home in 2011, just after the actress bought it.

Meester and Her Music

The stunning Meester, married to "O.C." actor Adam Brody, is not just an actress - she is also a talented singer who enjoys performing her music in front of live audience.

"You're just there on stage witnessing the reaction and the thrill and the excitement of that. So that's great for me because it just gives me a different feeling about my music - which is a very personal, emotional and at times, quiet part of me," shared the beautiful singer-actress on Idolator.com.

Aside from releasing her "Hearstings" album, the 29-year-old singer is now pregnant with her first child.
