Ginuwine opened up about his divorce after keeping things on the hush for some time, BOSSIP exclusively reported.

The "Pony" singer did not give out many details about his split with ex-wife Solé but did mention that they are working things out.

"I really don't want to go into it, but we're good," Ginuwine told BOSSIP. "We're friends and we're good, we're going to raise our kids separately, and we're good."

Solé, real name Tonya Lumpkin, secretly filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage. The singer and the former rapper-turned-vegan yoga instructor share two children together.

According to court papers, Solé and Ginuwine have been living apart since 2013. The couple settled everything before the 41-year-old mom filed for the divorce. They signed a contract splitting their properties and child support six months prior to filing court documents.

"Differences have arisen between the parties and they are now and have been separated since October 1, 2013, living separate and apart from one another ... with the purpose and intent of ending their marriage," the court papers say.

They hashed out alimony details in the documents as well, but never let out information on why they have decided to end the marriage.

Reports say Ginuwine, real name Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, was on the verge of bankruptcy last year, according to the New York Daily News.

"Mr. Lumpkin is very close to declaring bankruptcy," Ginuwine's lawyer, Bruce Beckner, said. "He owes my firm a ton of money and a bunch of other people a ton of money. He owes Uncle Sam 300-odd thousand dollars in back income taxes."

Beckner said some of the singer's money problems came from his divorce.

Ginuwine and Solé were married back in 2003 in the Cayman Islands. They are supposed to appear in family court next month.

Ginuwine is known as one of the biggest R&B artists of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
