Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss has decided to put his Florida home on the market.

The 51-year-old baseball team manager has listed his beachfront property in Florida for $2.2 million, according to Realtor.com.

As seen on the listing, the luxury 1,680-square-foot private residence of the baseball mentor is a "quintessential beach home" and is "nestled directly on the white sugar sand beach on Captiva Island" not far from the village.

The home also comes with furnishing but interested buyers or even renters - as the property is also advertised for lease - may inquire through listing agent Sally Davies of Royal Shell Real Estate. So far, the listing notes that the home, resting on 3,092 square-foot lot, comes with a dishwasher, range, microwave, washer, dryer and refrigerator.

More than the appliances that come with the sale, the home itself offers several features.

The Sunset Captiva home, which was built in 1978, includes two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, an attached two-car garage, a living room, a loft and a dining room.

Based from the photos, which can also be seen through the listing, several rooms offer great views of the beach and the calm, aquamarine waters. Notable interior details include wide glass panels providing entry of natural light.

Images of the amenities are also featured such as the community pool, the tennis courts, the dining and barbecue stations, and the clubhouse.

Weiss future with the Rockies in jeopardy?

Weiss may not be staying long in his position due to the numerous losses suffered by the team, according Denver Post.

However, the manager, who just had an appendectomy in May, answered confidently that he is prepared for whatever is in store for him.

"This is my third season, and we haven't won. And I'm sure people ask about my security here, I'm sure that becomes a topic. But I have to tell you, honestly, I have zero fear of losing my job. Not that it can't happen - I knew it could happen the day I signed up; it's almost inevitable in this seat..But it is definitely not a fear of mine," Weiss said, as quoted by the sports site.

Although Rockies general manager Jeff Bridich indicated that Weiss' position is secure, albeit, in the mean time, Weiss himself said that he will rise to the challenge.

"I said when I took this job that if my voice wasn't effective in there anymore, I'll be the first one to raise my hand," Weiss said.
