Boxing fans would be surprised to witness an explosive comeback from no other than Mexican boxing hero Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez.

Apparently, his return to the ring may even be scheduled earlier than the 41-year-old boxer intended for himself, if his training coach, Nacho Beristain would make a go signal for it.

The veteran fighter, who was last seen more than a year ago winning via a unanimous decision while marking Mike Alvarado's face with his powerful punches, is currently rehabilitating an injured knee.

"The right kneecap isn't in the proper place and I'm in rehab to treat it... I'm setting myself a time of one and a half to two months," Marquez shared with World Boxing News

"I still have the hunger, I still possess the ambition and I still have the fire...I want that fifth Championship...So firstly I need to recover, second find a rival and then war! If everything goes well, I'm planning to fight again in October or November," the seasoned Mexican fighter added.

Still, the Mexican boxer's trainer is preparing him for a fight in September, and he wants his fighter to have a showdown with British boxer, Kell Brook, or other great boxers worthy of Dinamita's return.

"I could see [him coming back] in September. He looks forward to working in the gym. We have a singular joy whenever he steps in the gym. He works very hard. I don't know the opponent. I think a world title fight, a title in his fifth division, would be something he'd like. Maybe the British fighter [Kell Brook] or one of the other champions," Beristain said, as quoted by Boxing Scene.

This is not the first time Beristain had mentioned Brook's name as his preferred opponent for "Dinamita" for one of his remaining fights. He already thought about this in March and shared his thoughts via Fight Hype.

"We don't get to choose...if we get to pick somebody, it could be the English guy that just got the title [Kell Brook]," said the legendary trainer.

The Mexican boxer's promoter, Fernando Beltran, also said that it was Marquez himself who liked the fight to take place.

"Juan Manuel is in England, right now. He and I promote Daniel Estrada. That's the main reason for his trip to England. But he would love to fight Kell Brook, because he wants the welterweight title. So when he returns, we'll talk," said Beltran to RingTV  in January.

However, Marquez, who just recently engaged in sparring sessions since his last ones in May 2014, observed that his knee is still giving him problems, reported Boxing Scene.

Citing his interview with ESPN Deportes, the outlet quoted him as saying, "I want to do sparring three times a week for three weeks to know what decision to take."

It would be better for him to fully recuperate before he steps on the ring, after all, preparation is the key.

If he will fight in September, there's no way he will be facing his ultimate arch-enemy in the ring, the Filipino boxing icon, Manny Pacquiao as "Pacman" himself is also rehabilitating from the shoulder injury he sustained even before his fight with the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Yet, there's still a hope for a fifth Pacquiao-Marquez fight and that could be in Mexico, where "Dinamita" planned to hold his farewell fight, as revealed by his conditioning coach, Angel "Memo" Heredia.
