Prince George is now six months old, and ready for some fun time under the sun. The royal baby is off to his first family vacay in the Caribbean with the Middletons, reports Us Weekly.

The Middletons will be spending some quality time at the island of Mustique, and according to Us Weekly, the Duchess will be joined by parents Carole and Michael Middleton, brother James, and sister Pippa, who is bringing along her fiancé, Nico Jackson.

Granny Carole is also set to celebrate her birthday during the luxury vacation, though her natal day actually falls on January 31, says People. The Duchess and her family must have had a grand time in the island the previous year, prompting them to head back this year despite the absence of Prince William.

Having enrolled in Cambridge University's 10-week program for agricultural management, Prince William will not be able to join his charming family and his in-laws. According to Us Weekly, a source close to the royal family said, "William is staying back in the UK to continue with his Cambridge studies."

The public has yet to see a new photograph of six-month-old baby George, as the royal family has kept him away from the glare of the media. The royal couple sent out Christmas thank-you cards in January with the royal baby pictured with them, says Hello Magazine, but the snap dates back to the young prince's christening, when he was only three months old.

Hello Magazine further notes that Duchess Katherine and Prince William included baby George in their thank-you message, saying, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George are so grateful to you for the kind message you sent at Christmas and send you their best wishes for a very Happy New Year."

Although dad Prince William can't join the young prince on his first getaway, the baby won't be missed for long, as the Duchess and the young royal are due back in London the very next week, according to People.

The Duchess will be making her first public appearance this year on February 11 for the National Portrait Gallery gala, and will be opening the ICAP Art Room at Northolt High School in Ealing, London on the 14th, Valentine's Day, says Us Weekly.
