Ronda Rousey is not only set to be the main subject of an upcoming film, but she is also going to star in the movie as herself.

The UFC Champion is set to play herself in the upcoming Paramount Pictures film based on her best-selling autobiography "My Fight / Your Fight."

According to Variety, the film will be adapted by Mark Bomback, who will also serve as executive producer. Rousey will serve as a producer alongside Mary Parent.

"It's a real honor to be a part of bringing Ronda's incredible story to the big screen," Parent said.

Rousey's list of achievements is rather extensive. In mixed martial arts, she has won the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship (she is currently ranked No. 1), has defended six titles, was the first female UFC Champion and received the World MMA Award for Female Fighter of the Year in 2012, 2013 and 2014. ESPN has also given her awards for the last few years, including the 2015 Best Fighter ESPY Award.

She also won a number of awards in judo from 2001 through 2008, including 17 gold medals from the International Judo Federation.

Rousey was born in California but has Venezuelan, Polish and English ancestry. Her maternal grandfather was born in Venezuela, and back in 2013, she stated that she was proud of that ancestry and the Latino fans she has.

"It feels great, especially my mom and her whole side of the family is super excited about it now," Rousey said according to Scifighting.com. "I have a lot of cousins and stuff still in Venezuela now. It's really nice to have a venue to be able to regain a connection with my roots."

This is not the first time Rousey will appear as herself on screen. She played that part in the recent "Entourage" film. Nor is Rousey new to filmmaking, as she has already starred in such films as "Furious 7" and "The Expendables 3."

There is no date set for the start of production.
