The CW has found its Hawkman for the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" series.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting Falk Hentschel will play the role in the new DC Comics series. The actor will play Carter Hall who disguises himself as Hawkman. The character is described as "an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders."

Carter is able to access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, and transform into the winged superhero Hawkman.

The character is popular in the comic books, and there have been multiple versions of the character. There is no clarification of which story line the show will follow, but this will be third time the character shows up on a TV show. Hawkman was previously seen in "Smallville" and was portrayed by Michael Shanks. The character was also featured on "Legends of the Superheroes" back in 1979.

Hentschel's Carter has been rumored for quite some time as he will first appear in the crossover episodes of "Arrow" and "The Flash" before making his debut on the spinoff, "Legends of Tomorrow." The idea is to connect the storylines of "Arrow" and "The Flash" in order to allow for future crossovers.

Hentschel is a renowned actor who has appeared in a number of films, including "Transcendence" with Johnny Depp and "White House Down." He also appeared in CBS' "Reckless" and in the film "StreetDance 2."

"Legends of Tomorrow" is set to star Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave and Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein. Brandon Routh will also star alongside Ciara Renee and Franz Drameh. The new series will tell the story of a time-traveling rogue who foresees a horrible future and assembles a team of heroes to stop Vandal Savage, an immortal villain.

"Legends of Tomorrow" is set to shoot in the coming months and is set to air in 2016.
