Will the Inhuman "Lincoln," who has electric powers, be a threat to Phil Coulson's team in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3?

Luke Mitchell talks about his character and tells why he could actually be dangerous to the Marvel's agents.

Mitchell on "Lincoln"

Mitchell told Comic Book Resources that "Lincoln" may actually be "dangerous" to S.H.I.E.L.D. as he is still in the "gray area." The actor believes that his Inhuman character may still be lost especially that he felt "betrayed by both sides." Lincoln "doesn't know where he fits," Mitchell said

"I think he's in the gray area. Don't take this the wrong way, but I think he's dangerous in the sense that they don't know whether they can trust him, and I don't think he knows what to trust. So I think it's rocky," Mitchell added.

The actor, who appeared in "Tomorrow People," also thought that Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team should "play their cards right."

Expectations for his character

Just like his followers, Mitchell also wants to know more about the character's backstory. Before he passed the mist test and stayed in the After Life ruled by Jiaying, he was said to be raised in Cincinnati and enlisted in a medical school.

As for his relationship with Skye/Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet), the 30-year-old actor thinks that the "chemistry" will remain throughout the entire season. Mitchell is even interested how it will be showcased next season.

"I think it's going to be slightly different points of view from both characters," Mitchell

Why he was called back for Season 3

Fans of the series produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios must have already wished for Mitchell to stay as soon as he first appeared and then became the Inhuman trusted confidante of Skye/ Daisy Johnson. Later on, he chose to side with S.H.I.E.L.D. when he learned of the true nature of Skye's mother, Jiaying (Dichen Lachman).

In June, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb's announcement made the show's fans cheered when it was announced Mitchell will be a series regular next season, Marvel.com informed.

"Luke proved a valuable addition to our cast in Season 2, and after seeing him light up the screen with his charisma we knew we had to have him back for more. Our writers have come up with big plans for the character of Lincoln in our next season, and we can't wait for fans to see everything we have in store," said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be back on Sept. 29 and will air every Tuesday on ABC at 9:00 p.m. ET, announced Marvel.com.
