Photos showing Jon Bernthal as "The Punisher" while filming in New York on Monday, Aug. 17, have surfaced online, making fans anticipate the "Daredevil" Season 2 series even more.

In the latest images featured on Just Jared, the actor is wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and dark pants. Bernthal is also sporting a bullet-proof vest in one picture, which could hint a possible intense shooting scene in one of the episodes next season.

The first set of photos leaked by Just Jared more than a week ago shows Bernthal chokeholding one man. The actor is seen with cuts and bruises on his face while wearing the same black attire.

The scenes may very well be connected with one another. Perhaps, the production team wants to make the fight scenes intense and worth the wait.

Steven DeKnight, who is one of the first season's directors, would be pleased to hear that, if it is the case, since he is a fan of "The Punisher," Slash Film noted.

DeKnight told the site that he will not be involved in the series' directorial staff this coming season as he will be doing another project, yet, he knows that the new "Daredevil" team will take care of the iconic character.

"Punisher is one of my favorite characters. I've talked to Jeph Loeb [Daredevil executive producer]ever since I first met him back on Buffy about doing The Punisher. So it was a heartbreak to me to have to leave, but I knew it was in good hands and I loved everything we had started talking about Frank Castle being in that story," DeKnight said.
