It looks like fans might see several explosive episodes this season 2 on "Daredevil" as Jon Bernthal teases that his character, The Punisher, will be well-armed.

Bernthal, who appeared in "The Walking Dead" and "Fury," was announced to portray the role of The Punisher, per Marvel, on the Netflix series starring Charlie Cox as the blind lawyer Matt Murdock and Daredevil himself.

Just recently, the "Wolf of Wall Street" actor posted what appears to be his character's armory on Twitter.

The said image shows high-caliber long guns that would definitely fit his role in the show.

Marvel noted that before the character was called The Punisher, he was first known to live the life of Francis Castiglione/Frank Castle, who had Italian ancestry but was born in the Big Apple. He even wanted to be a priest at one time, but due to some big events in his life that led him to "unable to forgive those who did evil," he eventually chose to forego his dream. Then, he became a U.S. Marines officer and had another unfortunate experience when his wife and children were murdered. From then on, he embraced the identity of being "The Punisher."

Just Jared featured photos from the "Daredevil" set, showing Bernthal clad in an all-black attire fighting with other men and even chokeholding a guy. However, compared to Daredevil, The Punisher is "significantly inferior" when it comes to "hand-to-hand combat," Marvel noted. This must be why he will need these loads of guns to become a real threat to whoever he wants to punish or go against with.

Although he and Murdock want to get rid of the evil in their community, Murdock maintains that life is something precious. Thus, this is where the two characters are expected to clash next season.

During Marvel's announcement of Bernthal taking on the iconic role, stated above, Jeph Loeb, who serves as Marvel's Head of Television, promises that Bernthal's inclusion will bring so much life to the character and a great difference in the series.

"Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences. Castle's appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same," Loeb said in a statement.

"Daredevil," which is produced by Marvel Television in partnership with the ABC Studios, will air its second season in 2016 via streaming on Netflix.
