Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones just received two heartbreaking news about two of the prized players in his franchise, including the possible season-ending injury sustained by the team's quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo, a 2014 MVP candidate, has suffered a broken left clavicle during the Cowboys' match against the Philadelphia Eagles, NFL.com reported. Although the team won against the Eagles, the Cowboys knew that it would be difficult to win again without Romo.

Jones, who was with Romo when he learned the diagnosis, was crestfallen over the news, a separate article from NFL.com informed.

"It's not that we haven't literally had a similar situation more than one time before and certainly no one has pushed up his expectations any higher than Tony about what he can do for us. ... He's a competitor. It broke his heart, broke my heart," Jones said.

The Cowboys' quarterback reportedly received the same kind of injury in 2010, which made him miss 10 games that time. However, Jones is ready to face this challenge thrown at the Cowboys.

"The NFL is really about adversity in general. It's how you handle it, how you approach it on a day-to-day basis, individually and collectively. The job for our football team is to find ways to win. I think we have guys in there that can do that," the Cowboys owner said.

Last week, the team was already unfortunate as their wide receiver Dez Bryant, who posted 1,320 receiving yards per ESPN stats, got a foot injury. Sports Center announced that Bryant could be out for four to six weeks, but a recent report by NFL.com citing Ian Rapoport, said that Bryant may actually be unavailable for 10 to 12 weeks.

Upon hearing of Bryant's case last week, Romo toughened up to lead the team even better, the Cowboys official site reported. Of course, Romo did not see it coming, that he too will not be there to continue the Cowboys' fight on the field.

The recent injuries are disheartening for the Dallas team because these players contribute so much for the franchise.

Still, the team with the great offensive line can actually depend on their defensive line as well to help them push for more wins, noted NFL.com. The team may also help and support backup quarterback Brandon Weeden to polish his passing skills.

Last Sunday, when the situation called for him, he was able to deliver successfully all his seven passes for 73 yards and a touchdown that made the Cowboys triumphed that night.
