Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys faced injury problems at the start of the season involving their teams' key players.

Baltimore will terribly miss Terrell Suggs, the player who delivered 106.5 sacks, a feat still unparalleled by any other Raven. The linebacker is said to be already done with the 2015 season because of an on-field injury, ESPN reported. The 32-year-old NFL athlete sustained a torn Achilles tendon while playing against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Ravens linebackers, Courtney Upshaw and Elvis Dumervil were devastated over Terrell's injury.

"That's our leader. The motto here is next man up, and you're going to hear everybody saying that. But you never want to lose a guy like him. He's been a cornerstone for this defense for a long time," Upshaw said.

"You can never replace Terrell Suggs. It hurts everybody when you hear news like that," Dumervil shared.

Even the Ravens' coach John Harbaugh was saddened by what happened to the Minnesota-born player, whom he describes as hardworking and the "kind of leader that you just admire so much," but encourages the team to go on and move forward from this "adversity."

"It's about how you come back and play the next game, and how our young guys step up and how our older guys wrap their wings around those young guys," Harbaugh challenged his players.

Cowboys' wide receiver Dez Bryant hurt his foot

Meanwhile, Bryant, the Cowboys' wide receiver who tallied 1,320 receiving yards last season, per ESPN stats, has injured his right foot during a game against the New York Giants, NFL.com informed, citing NFL Media's Desmond Purnell. Dallas team owner Jerry Jones told Purnell about Bryant's situation. Sports Center also announced this news via Twitter.

Cowboys' head coach Jason Garrett also confirmed Bryant's mishap and that the star player will have to be put into a surgery for his foot bone injury, NFL.com noted.

Although the Cowboy's 27-26 score made them triumphant against the Giants, it is indeed a costly victory for the Dallas team as they will have to play without their prized receiver in the coming weeks.

The team's quarterback Tony Romo believes that it's quite a big blow for the team, per the Cowboys' official site.

"That's a tough loss. You can't replace Dez Bryant. I hurt for him right now because I know how much he loves to play this game. We'll have to reassess that and figure out where to put guys and try and help," Romo said.

"No one's going to be Dez Bryant, but the guys can do what they do well and it's my job to help that whole situation," the Dallas quarterback added.
