The engaged couple have finally set their wedding date, claims People, and as previously reported, the two will tie the knot in "The City of Love."

"Save the date! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will tie the knot on May 24 in Paris," reads the People report.

An unnamed source adds, "It won't be a huge wedding. Around 150 people."

According to People, the pair's 8-month old daughter, North West, who turns one year old in June, is expected to have a role in the nuptials.

Unlike the daddy rapper's extravagant proposal to the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star, the wedding will allegedly be simple, says Radar Online. Quoting Kim K. herself, Radar Online reveals, "As we're going along we're realizing that we just want it to be more small and intimate than people are imagining."

Kim has previously confirmed her city of choice for the much awaited wedding. "I'll tell you it's in Paris, but I'm not saying when. It's this year," Kim told Seacrest in a KIIS FM morning radio show.

The two were not shielding wedding preparations from the public, even posting a video of them visiting the Palace of Versailles outside of Paris in hopes of a venue. Needless to say, they were refused by officials of the iconic landmark as "it would just have been to intrusive for visitors to the Palace, and the staff," says Radar Online in another report.

"Kim and Kanye really wanted to get married at Versailles and were both hoping to persuade officials during their visit...ultimately it backfired. It was still a firm no," a source told Radar Online.

With the Palace of Versailles most likely out of the possible wedding venue list, the two are most likely turning to private estates and chateaus in the area as Radar Online points out that Kim and Kanye seem to want to pull of a "royal wedding" of some sort.

"West has often talked about Kardashian as his queen and it looks like he's trying to give her a royal wedding!" says Radar Online.

Will the couple be seen anywhere near a palace in Paris while saying their wedding vows?
