The release of the new iOS 9.0.2 is just yet another call to action for iPhone jailbreakers to break the ellusive new update.

With every subsequent update Apple releases for their devices comes a more fortified and resistant operating system that proves to be increasingly harder for jailbreakers to hack. This of course poses a huge problem to users that want to update their phone, but also want to not be restricted by the operating system's parameters.

The current update has become infamously difficult to break, as popular jailbreakers such as TaiG and Pangu have yet to find a way to hack it. Their jailbreak is expected to be released with Apple's iOS 9.1 update later this year.

The problem for updated users or users who have bought an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus is that Apple has now disabled the ability to downgrade to previous iOS versions. Users are then stuck with iOS 9.0.2 once they have it, and blocked from reverting back to jailbroken versions such as iOS 8.4.1. In fact, versions earlier than iOS 9.0.2 won't even be supported by the device.

This forces many users to hold off updating their phone until the latest iOS can be jailbroken, or at least until Apple refines the 9.0.2 to remove any bugs. Those who still carry the iOS 8.4.1 are, however, still in luck, as it has recently been jailbroken by Italian jailbreaker Luca Todesco.

Apart from not letting users revert back to older operating systems, iOS 9.0.2 boast the fact that it fixes many issues concerning data usage, iMessage activation, screen rotation, and the stability of podcasts.
