Fight Preview

In July, "Triple G," the undefeated Kazakh warrior, who was last seen in action destroying Willie Monroe Jr. via a sixth round stoppage in May in California, per BoxRec, informed his goal to unify the entire middleweight division, Boxing Scene noted. His promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, announced "GGG's" exciting plan on his behalf.

Less than two weeks later, a showdown between "GGG" and Lemieux, who came out of a victory against Hassan N'Dam in June to capture the vacant IBF title via a unanimous decision, per BoxRec, has already been sealed, another article of Boxing Scene reported.

Predictions

Golovkin to destroy Lemieux

Abel Sanchez, Golovkin's trainer was confident that his fighter, who posts a 91 knockout rating, will triumph against the Canadian boxer. Sanchez even told On The Ropes Boxing that "in the fourth round Golovkin knocks" Lemieux out.

"Triple G's" former foe, Martin Murray thinks that Lemieux has a very slim chance to beat the mighty Kazakh, Boxing News 24 noted, citing his IFL TV interview.

"I think it's an easy fight for Golovkin. The only chance Lemieux's got is if he catches him with a lucky shot," Murray said.

Former champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley also predicted on thaboxingvoice that the younger fighter "might not even go a couple of rounds, maybe 2 or 3 rounds maybe" against "GGG."

World-class trainer Freddie Roach says on FightHub that Golovkin "kills" Lemieux in their battle.

Lemieux to shock the World

Although many boxing enthusiasts favor "GGG," Lemieux is fine with it.

"I'm a big underdog, which is perfect by me. It's not a problem. I know who I am," Lemieux said, a separate Boxing Scene noted.

Lemieux also promised to shock the world as boxing's "new most feared man" as soon as he brings down Golovkin, another article of the outlet informed.
