When Lady Gaga came to perform at Stubb's Bar-B-Q, she sang a country version of "Bad Romance." The crowd made up of indie musicians and artists was perhaps enthralled or annoyed by Lady Gaga at the SXSW. It is place for up-and-coming artists to be discovered. Entertainment Weekly reported that Lady Gaga got a lot flack for coming to SXSW.

They were three stand out moments at the SXSW that came with Lady Gaga. The first stand out time occurred during the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show. Lady Gaga came to the taping wearing an outfit made out of coffee filters. Lady Gaga explained to Jimmy that she really wanted to be covered up, and feel comfortable for the interview, the New York Daily News reported.

"I'm really fat [right now], I have been eating barbecue all week," Lady Gaga said to Jimmy.

Hours later, Lady Gaga took the stage at the Doritos sponsored event. This brings us to our second stand out moment. During Lady Gaga's performance at the Stubb's Bar-B-Q, she was greeted by a mechanical pig, and the vomiting performance artist Millie Brown.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Brown's performance is that she does not eat for two days, so as to clean out her system; then she drinks a bunch of colored milk, gags herself and regurgitates the liquid onto a canvas that's been laid on the floor. Then she changes color and repeats the color and repeats the err, gag. Lady Gaga was the canvas.

Brown sprayed her green goo all over Lady Gaga, the drummer, and on the mechanical pig, during the performance. After the performance, Lady Gaga was covered in a black sheen.

The third stand out event was Lady Gaga's so-called key-note address; it was really a question-and-answer event. Lady Gaga was dressed in white dread-locks, and a white outfit made from plastic.

The Washington Post reported on the Q&A event, Lady Gaga vowed to quit pop music rather than compromise; she detailed a difficult year, her under performing ArtPop album; the fact that she split from her manager Troy Carter; her hip surgery, and about her popularity.

Despite Lady Gaga's irritation, anger, disillusionment, and melancholy about the music industry, she also seemed sentimental, and nostalgic.

"It's a great vibe here," Lady Gaga said about SXSW. "There is so much love and respect between everyone. I didn't see anyone fighting or acting hateful or negative. I think anytime you put music lovers in a room with a beer and s***y sound system, we're happy."
