'Empire' Season 2 Episode 6 Spoilers: Lyons Search for Hakeem, Will Empire's Newest Artist Blow Up?

"Empire" is all new next Wednesday, Nov. 4, when the Lyons will search for Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), and Empire's newest artist tries to become the next big hit in urban music.

Hakeem was kidnapped in the last episode, and no one knows who is responsible. Why would someone want to hurt him, and will this tragic event bring the family back together for good? 

Family isn't the only concern for the protagonists, as their businesses continue to evolve and fight. 

Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) first discovered Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) while in prison for murdering his ex-wife's cousin Bunkie (Antoine McKay). When Lucious headed out to a visiting session, he overheard Freda rapping for her dad Frankie Gathers (Chris Rock). Lucious loved her flow so much that he offered to sign her onto Empire.

Frankie was killed shortly after for threatening Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson). Still, Freda was signed to Empire, where she is now "musically everything" to Lucious. Will she become a top artist soon? It is likely that she will, since Lucious is producing her.

Meanwhile, the gangster turned business mogul is reviving an old label called Gutter Life Records. Will Freda play a big part in this new project? She has the voice for it.

Empire's new competition, The Lyon Dynasty, is signing on new artists as well. Before his kidnapping, Hakeem was excited about working with his new Latina girl group, despite what his dad did to him.

At the start of the season, Lucious signed the original lead singer of Hakeem's girl group to Empire. He signed Valentina (Becky G) on the morning of a very important interview that Cookie had already set up. Did Valentina "pull a Beyoncé" too early in the game? Still, Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) predicted success for Hakeem's girl group because Latinos are currently the fastest growing demographic in the U.S.

Although the Lyons are at war for their music companies, they are putting their differences aside in the next episode to find Hakeem.
