The biggest horror anthology series of FX is getting ready with a whole new setting to make "American Horror Story" season 4 fans a lot more excited. After the haunted house, the asylum and the coven, the next spooky setting is said to take place in a carnival.

According to Screenrant, it was during a podcast episode of the Nerdist Writers Panel that the writer of the horror series' third season was asked about the rumors surrounding the upcoming "American Horror Story" season 4. When it was specifically about the possible carnival setting, Douglas Petrie who is also the co-executive producer said, "That's the idea, very roughly that's the idea."

The rumored carnival or circus themes have also pushed a lot of fans to come up with posters revolving the said setting and have been shared extensively online, CBS news reports.

Ryan Murphy, the brainchild behind the show, also made a revelation that the "American Horror Story" season 4 will happen during the 1950s era and its lead star Jessica Lange has been practicing the German accent for her portrayal in what she claims to be her final "AHS" season.

The "American Horror Story" is a unique anthology series that follows various horror concepts featured for each new season, presenting a brand new set of characters but usually portrayed by the same set of actors. Its first three seasons have been considered as a massive success after having covered a huge deal of horror stories, Jared Larson of IGN stated.

With Jessica Lange mentioning how she plans to leave the show after its fourth season run, then there is enough reason for fans to expect a lot since the writers will surely make it a memorable one for the actress.

There are still no confirmed details yet about the "American Horror Story" season 4 except the work has simply "just started" according to Petrie.
